Take Home Dinner Day

Tomorrow is Wednesday. Please get that ridiculous thought out of your head that it's hump day. I hate that. There's something bizarrely lewd about "hump day". (And that's coming from someone who IS bizarrely lewd.) Wednesday is Saburba's take home dinner day. Ahhhh...Saburba. Their deliciousness never fails to put a smile on my face. Unless I order something that has a fried egg (usually duck!) and forget to tell them to break the yolk and fry it hard. I hate runny, gushy yolk. I shudder just thinking about it.

Saburba, Saburba...how I love thee. If I were prone to poetry I would write sonnets about them. Not only do they make my stomach smile, but they are just awesome people. I'm a regular there. I'm not ashamed to admit that I've gone in for both lunch and dinner on the same day, which usually only happens on take home dinner day. I was sick for two weeks once and they posted on my Facebook wall asking if I was OK. Good food and good people. Makes my heart smile too.

Tomorrow at work they are feeding us. (They meaning The Company, not Saburba.) Catering. Of course they are doing this on take home dinner day. Such injustice. I appreciate them feeding us, but this poses a bit of a dilemma for me. In the future I'd appreciate if management would take into consideration that some of us have food schedules. NEVER ON TAKE HOME DINNER DAY! Hahaha! (I'm not ungrateful, just conflicted.)

Saburba deserves more than I have time for right now. I will be back to talk about some of the deliciousness that I have consumed from their kitchen. Their smoked meatloaf is one of the best things I've put in my mouth.
